:According to the legends, they carried bows of bleached Silverwood with Ithildin runes repeating the order's oath of servitude. The wielder would repeat the chant under a gibbous moon and the two would be bonded for life. Once attuned, the bow could be dismissed and summoned much in the same way as a warlock's pact blade.
