The sphere of Greensward has for most of its existence been under a blockade by the Elven Naval Fleet. The Sphere is solar core with four coplanar bodies and one rogue body.

===Crystal Sphere===

The sphere itself is permeated by 17 solar gates with psychic guardians. Each is aligned to a [[Power|Religion]] of Greensward and passage is protected by various tests that the guardians enforce. Success allows access to the Phlogiston stream. Failure can mean ejection, astral ejection, or destruction depending on the aligned Power's whim.

 Oublius travels at a severe angle, defying the ordered plane. The surface of Oublius is completely magic-dead and no records exist of even long range mapping expeditions as it eats the power from helms and spells at even extreme range. When the orbits bring Oublius in close proximity to Nebithet or Vyanullia the magic death can be felt even on their surfaces.
