You have strayed. You have sinned. You have blasphemed. You are unworthy.
All may come to the protection of Markus. This is known. None will be turned away. Your worship is welcome.
You do not ask to worship. You ask to be invested with his holy might, to be a perfect mirror to reflect his glory. This you have not done. You took an oath to be his vessel to the end of your life and beyond unto eternity. This oath you have broken. You turned your back on him in order to develop the imperfect and false power inside your blood. The Order is unwavering. You have wavered. This is how you have strayed.
You have associated with wicked men. You tolerated the presence of known evil in your company without concern for their soul or yours. You remained silent while false and deceptive plans were laid and rather than convert and inspire the wicked with a better example of piety and virtue, you conspired to larceny and debased your own values for promise of stolen magics. This is how you have sinned.
You willfully corrupted a beautiful and divine gift with sorcerous twisting. You debased his glorious gift, insulted it, and worked ruinous corruptions upon it because in your greed you wanted to steal more power from Markus and thought that your deceptive theft would be appreciated or ignored. You put your own middling skill above that of Markus and did so gleefully, unabashedly.
Some Gods are forgiving. Some Gods are merciful. Markus is not one of them. You are not welcome in his sight.
