Orc

The Orcs of Sepental are creatures of the wild. They are fierce, brutal, and primitive beasts who live in caves and mud huts and dress in shaggy furs and paint their faces with the blood of their enemies. They have no use for gold as they take what they want and rarely are they offered barter anyways.

The Orcs of Yrchlund are rumored to be civilized, or rather city creatures but still just as violent. They keep Goblin slaves for the bulk of their labor needs, and focus their days on hedonist pursuits such as massive balls and gladiatorial games.

Goblin

Goblins in Sepental are usually found in deep forests and in mountain tunnels. They hate all 'big folk' but most save a special level of hatred for Dwarves. They are skilled crafters but very lazy. They jealously guard secret recipes to Goblin Steel, each claiming to have a superior mixture to any other. In some cases they have shown some talent, but often the recipies are polluted by superstitious additions such as goat urine collected under a new moon and horse froth from the whithers of a bisexual gelding that ruin any chance at learning the proper metallurgy behind such things.

Gnoll

Gnolls are creatures of pure instinct. They are barbarous and cruel creatures dedicated to Dark Fey spirits of the woods. Their whole culture revolves around the hunt and each pack (they are too disorganized to be considered tribes) dedicates themselves as hunters of a specific creature that they ritually hunt and eat. The most feared pack of the Gnolls are the Flind, who hunt and eat other Gnolls as their chosen creature.

Minotaur

Minotaurs are rare on Sepental, but are believed to be part of an elite ruling class in the far east. Stories describe them as powerful but also cunning, but it is much more likely in Sepental for a Minotaur to be insane and bestial, the product of a Druidic curse rather than a true member of the race.

Bugbear

People are not sure if the Bugbear is a distinct race, or if it is in fact just a normal growth cycle of the Orc. The Bugbear is a massive shaggy beast with orange fur and broad, flat ears. They embrace the concept of the Berzerker and consider the Berzerk Rage a gift from Demogorgon.

Drow

The Drow of this age are creatures of the deep earth. They claim to be the tenth tribe of the Eldar who rejected Father Black and were cursed to the deeps. They are beautiful creatures but wholly evil. Their skin is pure black and their hair bone white. They claim to have stolen Fey magic from the Unseelie Court and have been confused with elves by many sages.

They are fickle and cruel, often aligning themselves with demonic forces but not above betraying them should their goals change. They are extremely matriarchal and have several grades of slave status, with the freeman status being reserved for the Mistress of one of the many family houses. The priest class is technically slave to their patron, but in effect they are viewed as above the freemen class.
